45. Joe Blanton - Oakland
A's (26 years old)
After a very promising rookie campaign, Blanton regressed significantly last
season. Or did he? If you look at his peripherals you find that though he
did strikeout fewer batters, he improved his walks and homeruns allowed.
Digging further you find that he gave up roughly three more hits per game, do
primarily to a very unluck BIPA of .320. That means his defense essentially
left him hanging significantly more in his sophomore season. Look for
Blanton to bounce back in 2007.

46. Jeremy Sowers - Cleveland Indians (24
years old)
Sowers made his debut with much fanfare in Cleveland, and on the whole pitched fairly
well. In fantasy circles though, unless he can reclaim some of the
strikeout ability that he demonstrated in the minors, he'll be more teaser than
pleaser. He'll be good, but not great.

47. Casey Fossum - Tampa
Bay Devil Rays (29 years
old)
Fossum is a smaller pitcher who's always had durability issues. He had
surgery to repair a fraying rotator cuff in September, but should be ready for
the spring. He has very solid strikeout ratios, if he could get a better
handle on his control and stay healthy, he'd be a decent value pick.
