Would any team of disappointments be complete without Andruw?

So your team is mired in the cellar and you can’t wait for football. You only check the standings a few times a week. At times, you get a tad delusional and develop dream scenarios where your team makes an improbable push that lands you in the money. What went wrong? You likely had a few of the guys in the following list. This week, I will look at the All-Disappointment Team of this season through the August 12th statistics. The players on this list have severely underperformed and combining a few of them onto one fantasy team has likely led to disaster. They range from high dollar studs that have been decidedly unstudly to middle-tier scrappers that were supposed to improve on breakout seasons or continue an upward trend while not breaking the bank. Cheap or not, they have simply not delivered how any of their owners expected.
The only deciding factor for who made it and who did not was that all of those found on the team qualify for the batting average title, meaning they have at least 3.1 at-bats per game played by their team. This week looks strictly at hitters. Each league and position is represented, though some leagues have two at a position because both were just so awful that their inferiority could not be overlooked. Once getting the team together, I paced out their numbers for the rest of the season and looked at the percentage difference between 2006 and the paced out 2007 totals.
Without further ado, the 2007 All-Disappointment Team (followed by a detailed look at their indiscretions that led to their inclusion on the list):

And now, let’s deep-dive into the mess. The five standard categories (average, runs, home runs, runs batted in and stolen base) were analyzed and the chart will list the category followed by the percentage difference between their 2006 total and their 2007 pace…
