The quirks of the schedule have the following teams playing seven (7) games next week:
Braves, Phillies, Reds, Cardinals, Rockies, Giants, Orioles, Yankees, Rays, and Mariners.
The rest of the teams are all playing six (6) games.
Get Out Yer Whoopin’ Stick
The following teams may have an advantage due to where they play, or what teams they face next week:
The Diamondbacks play all six of their games home at Chase Field, one of the top hitters parks in baseball.
The Rangers play their six games home in the Ballpark at Arlington, another top hitters park.
The Red Sox play all their games in the friendly confines of Fenway Park.
The White Sox are home at Cellular Field all week. The Cell has turned out to be a hitter’s haven.
The Braves play four games at Coors field, then three games against the Nationals.
The Mets are home for six games at Shea Stadium, a pitchers park if there ever was one.
The Blue Jays face the Oakland A’s and the Rangers, two AL doormats.
