Sports Grumblings David Volin is an experienced sports journalist and radio personality. He has
hosted a variety of programs for Sporting News Radio affiliates in both Boston and
Providence. "Roto-Rooting" -completely dedicated to fantasy sports- was created
by David for Boston's 1510 "The Zone". He has also been a featured columnist
for Basketball Weekly, ‘Boston Celtics Pride’, the official fan magazine of the
Celtics, and staff writer for Magic Magazine. In the early 1990’s David migrated
to Orlando and hosted several sports shows on WBZS 890-AM. This included the
weekly “NBA Beat” and the nightly “Sports Connection”. (David also was a sports
director at WTBU, Boston University’s own radio station and provided
play-by-play for Terriers football and color for the hockey team.)
