Even a puck to the forehead couldn’t deter Mike from living and breathing the sport he loves. An avid hockey nut, he cherishes the unforgettable memories of playing late-night backyard pond hockey as a kid (as a goalie with no helmet) until his toes and fingers fell off from the snow and cold. His passion at such a young age then translated to high school hockey, where Mike earned four Varsity letters as a goaltender, along with an MVP and All-Conference Award his senior season. Now a regular contributor to Sports Grumblings, Mike's work has also appeared on multiple sites, including Sporting News. Mike is currently attending the University of Michigan-Flint, and is working toward a dual-degree in Communications and Political Science.
