The Fantasy Forecast® Ranking System is our own proprietary ranking system which takes several factors, both common and unique, into consideration when determining fantasy baseball values for each player. What makes the FFRS truly unique is that it assigns a relative fantasy value to all point-scoring fantasy baseball players-- that, in turn, allows the comparison of players from different positions! Ever wonder if Carlos Beltran was more valuable than Derek Jeter to your fantasy team? Just how valuable are the catchers? Use the FFRS to find out! It may sound simple, but we believe that good baseball players will make good fantasy baseball players. So we went about the business of collecting, analyzing and interpreting several different types of data on baseball players. After several months of creating and revising formulae, of tweaking and testing, we came up with a top-secret methodology for ranking players' fantasy baseball performance. What was unexpected, however, was that we had stumbled upon a rating system which allowed for the relative comparison of any players. Are there flaws in the FFRS? Of course there are; anyone who claims that their methodology is flawless is, quite frankly, a liar. The FFRS is a great indicator of current fantasy baseball player performance and is a very good predictive tool of player performance; but it is largely driven by data. The FFRS has no way of determining entirely human and/or intangible factors like player contentment or team chemistry. As events warrant (such as trades, cuts and/or injuries) these rankings will be adjusted, so keep checking frequently! Click on a position below to generate fantasy baseball cheat sheets for that group of players!
