Nationals, Kennedy agree to deal
FANTASY INSIGHT:
Free-agent second baseman Adam Kennedy and the Washington Nationals have agreed to a contract pending a physical, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Friday.
The person confirmed the agreement calls for Kennedy to make $1.25 million in 2010. There is also a $2 million club option for 2011. (AP)

Kennedy joins Tampa Bay Rays
FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Tampa Bay Rays bolstered their infield depth Tuesday, signing former Cardinals second baseman Adam Kennedy to a minor-league contract.
Kennedy was released by the Cards last week, leaving the Redbirds' starting job up for grabs heading into spring training. He's scheduled to make $4 million this season, but the Rays would have to pay him only the major-league minimum of $400,000 if he makes the team. (AP)
