Remember when gay meant happy? Well, Rudy Gay made quite a few fantasy owners happy this week...

We are weeks into the NBA season and fantasy leagues all over are beginning to shape up.
Rotisserie leagues have been going long enough that the better teams, the more balanced teams, should be near the top, while the less-skilled teams, and the injured teams, are beginning to sink… like the Knicks.
How about them Magic? Orlando is on cruise control with Dwight Howard leading the way. The young man from Atlanta is right near the top 25 in fantasy leagues – and his owners love it. Despite averaging almost 4.0 turnovers, he is a staple of production and consistency (so much so that a 15 point, 10 rebound night would be a disappointment).
In this week in review, we have looked at players who are dishing out the most assists, players who are blocking the competition like Bill Russell, and those who can shoot the long ball – and we all know that chicks dig those who can shoot the long ball, right?
However, this week’s review is not about any one of those stats – it is about all.
We are weeks in, so let’s check out who is the best of the best. Here are this week’s top performers:
Amare Stoudemire (21.4 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 1.1 APG) The man averaged 30.5 points this week while grabbing almost 10 rebounds and just over 2 assists. He also kept his turnovers to less than two this week. Stoudemire has had a nice season. Maybe not quite as good as fantasy drafters thought that he would, but he is done pretty well. Albeit, he stumbled out of the gate a big slowly, but he has come on as of late.
Caron Butler (22.6 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 3.6 APG) had another nice week. His numbers were right on par with those for his season, which easily qualifies him as one of the top performers. Butler has been the fantasy pick of the year thus far. Filling in for the injured Gilbert Arenas, Butler has really picked up the slack for his All-Star teammate. He also averaged 3.0 steals per game this week – bonus!
Chris Paul (20.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 9.8 APG) this guy is a monster, ‘nuff said.
Rudy Gay (18.7 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.5 APG) had himself a week! He upped every single stat this week.

What a week for Mr. Rudy. If only he was not stuck in Memphis, some people might have actually seen some of this on a nationally televised game… Oh well.
