That's right, drop Mr. Wade. The flash is gone....

WAIVER WIRE
Go Get 'EM
Steve Blake
- The Trailblazers' guard has been red hot lately. Over his last five game,
Blake is averaging 12.6 PPG and 6.8 APG. Those are some solid numbers from a
guy whose main job is to pass the ball. But Blake is finding a way to score and
make himself a game. They have three games coming up this week and Blake should
be able to continue his stat production with two games against a weak Minnesota
team.
Kendrick
Perkins - According to Espn.com, Perkins is owned in just 75-percent of its website's
leagues. The Celtics center has really stepped up his production as of late. He
has been the beneficiary of many of guard Rajon Rondo's assists. Pierce, Allen
and Rondo just drive to the bucket and kick it to Perkins who racks up his
points on lay-ups and dunks - hence his 57-percent shooting percentage over his
last five.
Al Thornton
- One of Los Angeles' clubs is a top team in the West and the other one is the
Clippers. The team and it's offensive production is totally up for grabs and
Thornton is taking his fair share. Last week he averaged 16.7 points in four
games and far surpassed his 4.1 rebound average. He also hit a 3-pointer per
game. The man is stepping up for the team and getting his shot attempts, and
until Elton Brand comes back it should continue to be that way.

Dwayne Wade
- That's right, drop Mr. Wade. The flash is gone. Team officials announced
Monday that Wade would be undergoing a new treatment on his ailing knee that
will keep him out for the remainder of the year. Wade was averaging 24.6 PPG in
what has been a mediocre year for him.
Tim Thomas
- Thomas is recovering from a groin injury and isn't getting his normal playing
time. He averaged just 24.2 minutes in his last three games while taking just
21 shots - and only making four of them. Bottom line is he's just getting old
and starting to play like it. He's just not worth a roster spot anymore.
Richard
Hamilton - It just seems that all that running that Rip does, all game-every
game, is starting to take a toll on his body. He had a huge game on Saturday,
but besides that, has struggled as of late. The shooting percentage has been
steadily dropping the last month as Hamilton has taken more and more forced
shots. He has normally collected rebound and assists, but those have tapered
off too. Maybe someone else is better suited to pack your stats.
