Get 'Em Out There
Mike Miller - It's Miller time baby! - or something like
that anyway. Regardless, Miller is back and playing extremely well. He just
retuned from injury not too long ago and has found his stroke. It was hard to
tell if he was going to continue to be effective - especially after scoring
just 9 points in his second game back. But now with a few games under his belt,
Miller is back on and scoring well. He's also starting to grab a bunch of
boards too! Get him going.
Juan Carlos Navarro - He's just got it going on right now.
Over his last five games, Navarro is averaging 17 PPG - six more than his
season average. He's also got his turnovers down to about one per game, which isn't
bad for a guy that handles the ball as much as he does. Point is, Navarro is
really starting to heat and play well with his teammates and another season
goes by playoff-less in Memphis.
He can help you.
Earl Barron - Who? That's right. Earl Barron, of the Miami Heat. Over his last
four games he's averaging 12.5 PPG and 6.0 RPG. Those are solid numbers no
matter how you look at it. Truth his Barron has played limited minutes all
season. But for the month of March he's averaging 27.2 minutes for a dismal
heat team. There's no reason why you shouldn't capitalize on a little garbage
clean up down in Miami.
Get 'Em Out of There
Joe Smith - On the Bulls, Smith had value. But on the
Cavaliers, he gets no action. Before he was traded, Smith was often scoring in
double figures as he was one of the main focuses of a slow offense in Chicago. But LeBron just
passes him by now. He has hit the 10+ plateau in scoring just four times in 14
games for the Cavs while playing about 23 minutes. There's just nothing left
here for the former No. 1 overall pick.
John Salmons - I wasn't aware that people were still
clinging to this former stud, but Espn.com reports that Salmons is still owner
in 25-percent of their leagues. Why? Ever since the Kings got healthy, Salmons
went from stud to dud (not dud, just DNPCD, or close to it). His season average
is still 12.5 PPG, but that's just because of how he started the first half of
the year. In February, he averaged 6.9 points and took just 96 total shots.
Kevin Martin takes that many shots in about 5 games! Stop playing Salmons.
There have to be better options at this point.
Chris Kaman - What happened to Kaman? He's hurt; he's okay;
he's hurt again... this is a fantasy disaster. How could you start a week and
possibly include Kaman in the lineup? You really just never know if he's ever
going to play. Here's the bet of the week: who steps foot on the court for the
Clippers first, Kaman or Elton Brand? It's a toss up. I'd rather have Theo
Ratliff at this point.
