 Start'em Sit'em
Give 'Em a Chance
Rasho Nesterovic - After a February where he averaged just 13.0 minutes per game, Nesterovic got his playing time in March - and the statistics followed suit. If you own him, he's probably sat near the end of your bench, much like he did for the Raptors. But he has really come on as of late. In March, Nesterovic scored 13.6 PPG and grabbed 6.9 RPG. Those numbers are far better than the month turned in by Kendrick Perkins and Brendan Haywood and even eclipse those of Marvin Williams. Get him out there.
Gilbert Arenas - Why would Arenas ever make this list - only in an injury year. In case your dial-up modem isn't working, bloggin' Gilbert rejoined his team this week in a supporting role off the bench. He looked solid; he looked strong; and most of all, he looked healthy. Whether you hung on to him all year or were just lucky enough to get him off the wire, there isn't much else to say here. Just get him back in your lineup.
DeShawn Stephenson - I never thought I'd say this, but I like Stephenson's game and what he brings to the court. This past week, he had games with 20 and 27 points and always adds a few assists. The guy can flat out shoot. If you need some 3-point help in your standings, Stephenson is an easy way to make up some slack.
Not a Chance
Andrea Bargnani - The fall for Bargnani has been hard and fast. Once a top prospect coming out of Italy, heralded as the type of big man who could step back and drain the three, he has now been delegated to the bench. His minutes have fallen considerably as of late, and over his last five game in March, Bargnani saw just 17 minutes per contest. His shooting has suffered as well. On the year he is shooting a merciful 39-percent from the field. This ins't his year, and it might just not be his country.
Wally Szczerbiak - Whoever thought that acquiring Wally would ignite the Cavaliers is mistkane. Yes the Cavs have come on as of late, but certainly not due to any inspiring play by Mr. Szczerbiak. Last month, his first full month since joining the Cavs, Szczdrbiak averaged just 7.5 PPG and 3.2 RPG. Adnd acquired for his outside shootng, Wally was just 39-for-112 (34-percent) from the floor - the exact same percentage he shot from deep. There is better value elsewhere.
Richard Hamilton - With his team already in the playoffs, the Pistons seem to have basically shut down their star guard. Fantasy owners beware - he just might not play anymore. He has been inactive for recent games. Basically, it's like week 17 in the NFL for Peyton Manning here.
