Bears release CB Nathan Vasher
FANTASY INSIGHT:
Vasher, a six-year veteran, was released this afternoon. The former Pro Bowl player never lived up to the five-year extension worth $28 million in new money that he received in June 2007. A torn groin muscle sidelined him for 12 games that season and he missed eight games the next year with a series of injuries, including a wrist that required surgery.
Vasher pocketed $15.6 million from the new contract in the first two seasons and collected $18.6 million before being let go. He was scheduled to earn a base salary of $2.95 million this season, but started only two games last season and played sparingly. (National Football Post)

Falcons release DB Tye Hill
FANTASY INSIGHT:
Hill was the 15th overall pick in 2006 by St. Louis. After three disappointing years with the Rams, he was dealt to Atlanta shortly before the start of last season for a seventh-round pick.
In eight games with the Falcons, Hill had seven tackles and one interception. He was released Tuesday. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

Richie Incognito to sign with Dolphins
FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Dolphins have reached a deal with guard Richie Incognito to make the lineman just the second new addition to the roster since the start of free agency. The sides have agreed to terms, and the contract is currently being finalized, two sources said Wednesday morning.
It is a one-year deal worth just over $1 million, sources said. With incentives, Incognito can earn just upward of $1.25 million, but he'll need to prove himself before working toward a longer contract. (Miami Herald)

TheChiefs signed guard Ryan Lilja, the team announced Tuesday.
Lilja had been an unrestricted free agent after being released by the Indianapolis Colts.
He made 59 regular season starts in six seasons with the Colts. Lilja also started eight playoff games, including two Super Bowls, for the Colts. (Washington Post)

The Texans signed unrestricted free agent guard/center Wade Smith, the team announced today.
Smith (6-4, 296) has appeared in 76 games with 34 starts along the offensive line at guard, center and tackle. He spent the last two seasons in Kansas City. Smith appeared in all 16 games and started nine games last season.
