The Cleveland Browns terminated the contract of defensive back Kenny Wright.

FANTASY INSIGHT:
Wright did not attend offseason training activities Wednesday, for what head coach Romeo Crennel called personal reasons. The 30-year-old had been arrested for possession of nearly two ounces of marijuana in Texas back in early April.

A nine-year veteran, Wright appeared in only seven games for the Browns in 2007, collecting six tackles.

Over 133 total games with five teams, the fourth-round pick of the Vikings in the 1999 draft has compiled 364 tackles, 13 sacks and seven interceptions. (The Sports Network)

Ravens, Suggs avoid grievance.

FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Ravens and Terrell Suggs avoided a grievance by essentially creating a new position, Suggs' agent confirmed Tuesday night.

The sides reached an agreement on a one-year franchise tag tender worth close to $8.5 million, which will pay him as a hybrid defensive end-linebacker. (Baltimore Sun)

Chiefs will release safety Wesley soon

FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Chiefs have told Wesley they will release him as soon as they believe they have exhausted all trade possibilities for him. That time could come as quickly as this week.

The Chiefs, who begin offseason practice on Monday, believe they are set at safety with starters Jarrad Page and Bernard Pollard, veteran reserve Jon McGraw and third-round draft pick DaJuan Morgan. (KansasCity.com)

FANTASY INSIGHT:
Brian Urlacher says he will not attend organized team activities starting Monday and is leaning toward skipping the Bears' mandatory mini-camp May 30-June 1, but he insists talk of protesting his contract situation through training camp is premature. (Chicago Tribune)

Holt says knee is fine.

FANTASY INSIGHT:
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams WR Torry Holt is relaxing this offseason but still getting ready for 2008. "Since I had the (knee) surgery last year, I went right to rehab, then I played 16 (games) and then went over and played in the Pro Bowl," Holt said. "So I just wanted to kind of step back and get some rest — not only for my knee, just for my overall body. And from a mental standpoint, just kind of get away and relax. Get away from the building, and get away from football for a while, so I can come back with a fresh mind and give the guys and my teammates what it is they need." Holt, by the way, says his knee is feeling much better than it did a year ago at this time.
