TC Cannon admits to having a man-crush on WR Randy Moss.

Explain
your pre-draft strategy for this type of draft format
Hiya. The
target was to claim three quality RBs in the first four rounds, with a pair of
high-option QB taken back-to-back afterwards. The draft result was
RB-QB-RB-WR-RB -- due to my impulsive desire to obtain WR Randy Moss.
Explain
the thought process behind your first-round selection
1.06 RB
Willie Parker is a very positive player, with an excellent history of being
fantasy important. I strongly prefer him over the L. Johnson/Addai/Gore trio
selected ahead of him, based on opportunity. When the Steelers need production, Parker is their main option. He was the sixth ranked 2006 RB, and no major improvement is forecast from that outstanding 1700-15 TD season. Also, important to me was that Parker seems less of a risk than most popular rushers.
Which
was your best value pick, and why?
Certainly
QB Peyton Manning was a GREAT value selection. He's been the top passer in recent
years, averaging 4200 yards and 36 TDs per season. Geeze... It seemed a near
miracle to be able to claim Manning at the 19th overall selection.
Which
pick would you “do over” if you had the chance, and why?
I
semi-goofed with the 7th-round QB Vince Young pick. As good as he is likley to be, I
could have had a reasonable QB2 (Kitna or Leinart?) 20 slots later. Whoever is
the reserve QB on this team will see little action. Young is now expesive trade
bait.
Not including yourself, which owner had the best overall draft, and why?
Roy Cankosyan did very well and he deserves an big 'attaboy". Every roster position is solid, except for oddly-selected WRs (three Saints?). However, starting three reasonable receivers on a week to week basis is not a common problem. Vance's no-weakness roster also earned my respect.
Not including yourself, which owner had the worst overall draft, and why?
Based on my preferences, John Rakowski's Tolminson team looks to be the worst drafted. Aside from LT, it's oh-so ugly. Only a few JR players are desired on my roster. He will need another 30+ Tomlinson scores to be a .500 team. Good luck in September, John. It'll be a looong season.
