Sports Grumblings Staff Mock Draft and Analysis: Georgopoulos

Georgopoulos isn't worried about any RBBC in Dallas this season.

What is
your overall strategy heading into an Auction-style draft? In this style of draft it is very importaqt to set a budget and then stick to it. I use the straight BDDM system for positional evaluations, and then implement my Auction Draft Strategy. And yes, I am a plug whore.
How is
this different (if at all) from the strategy you use in traditional snake
drafts? It's not all that different in terms of acquiring talent for my own team... the fun is in trying to get other to ruin their draft strategy. Case in point: I noticed that Mojo was hanging back, hoping to acquire bargain-basement deals on players (along with Haverty). So after securing my starters, I made it a point to run up their "freebies" as much as possible... worked like a charm with WR Coles!
Other than
your picks, which selection was too pricey in your opinion? Any RB over $27, any QB over $23, any WR over $16, and K over $1, any Defense over $1. I'm kind of strict about those types of things.
Other than
your picks, which selection was a tremendous value? They're not even his top runners, but Leigh's nabbing of Jerious Norwood and Lamont Jordan for $3 each is tremendous value. Both are starting RBs on their team-- Norwood is especially cheap with revelation of Warrick Dunn's back surgery. Finn also grabbed some great WR bargains, led by the theft of Lee Evans for just nine beans.
Which was
your best/worst picks? None of my picks is a real "bargain", but the closest would probably be Eli Manning ($4) and Julius Jones ($7). Both guys are starters on their teams, and I am betting that Wade Phillips does not have a man-crush on Barber the way Parcells did; Manning has a chance to be a Top 10 QB this year.
My worst pick? Not paying attention and letting Jerious Norwood go to Leigh for $3. That's what I get for trash-talking with Cankosyan during the draft...
Which team
looks the strongest to you, and why? I like Finn's team a lot. Not only is it well-balanced (Portis/Betts, Bell/Jones) via handcuffs, but by my estimation, he managed to snag four Top 20 WRs in Boldin, Walker, Evans and Houshmandzadeh. While the decision to go with just Kitna as his QB is questionable, all Kitna has to do is play at the league average for this team to really be in control. Georgopoulos' Roster:
