The key to first place in your league? Simple: own Mr. Brady.
|
I am still floating on cloud nine
from the Red Sox winning the World Series but I will try to focus on football
for a few ticks here. With the Patriots
destroying every team they face it makes it a little easier to stay focused.
I don’t know a single player that
owns Tom Brady that is NOT in
first place. I could look up his
numbers right now and extrapolate them out, but why bother?! The guy is clearly on a monster pace and
shows no signs of slowing down. Records
will be broken.
So what do you do if you don’t own
Mr. Brady? Well, for starters you
should check in to this site as often as possible to keep up on the rest of the
league. But almost as equally as
important you need to make sure you have balance and depth going forward. The season is half over now so you need to
take a hard look at your team and make sure you are set to make your run. Grab your starting RBs backups if you
can. That should help ease any worries
of losing too much production down the stretch.
If you have been sitting on a player
you don’t really need and have a hole that needs filling, make that offer you have been holding off on. There is no time left to wait on your “sleepers” if they are still struggling. Let them go and get guys that are helping now. Stock up and be ready to make your push!
Weekly Mojo:
Sports flicks
I am a movie nut. There I said it; I AM A MOVIE NUT! I like them all. Forget the critics, I can find good in every movie I see. As much as I love movies, I really, really love sports movies. I often debate with my brother Andrew over which is the best and I think we have come to agree it just might be The Natural.
You can go a different direction,
as I know some go for Field of Dreams or maybe Bull Durham. Some say Rudy. Others go old school and pick Brian’s Song. The top one is tough to pick.
I won’t debate that.
Do you secretly love Kevin Costner’s other sports movie? No, I am
not talkiing about For Love Of The Game. I am speaking of American Flyers. Do you still have a thing for Rob Lowe in Youngblood? Is North Dallas Forty your cup of tea?
Or could it be, that you just can’t get enough of Diggstown?
Recently, I can’t get enough of
Mark Wahlberg starring in Invincible.
And while Hoosiers may be one of the best sports
flicks ever, my guilty pleasure has to be Amazing Grace and Chuck. I still tear up ever time that kid puts three fingers in the air before he pitches.
