Hurd replaces the injured T.O...
 Every week,
SportsGrumblings.com editors and staff coordinate to offer an
intriguing list of fantasy football players likely to be available on
the waiver wire.
Availability, of course, depends on the league.
While we stray from the standard to serve shallow and deep formats
alike, the SG staff uses 12 team, 15 player leagues as the median. Quarterback 1. Vince Young - Will face the second string secondary of Indy in the late Sunday game. 2. Todd Collins - Washington - Leads the Redskins into a must win Week 17 game against the postseason fixed Cowboys.
Running Back 1. Kenton Keith - Indianapolis - Figures to see extended snaps now that the Colts have wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the AFC. 2. Reuben Droughns - New York Giants - Expect starter Brandon Jacobs' touches to shrink in Week 17 leaving Droughns with additional touches. 3. LaMont Jordan/ Dominic Rhodes - Oakland - With Justin Fargas done for the season the remaing two Raider running backs get the first-team snaps. 4. Kevin Faulk - New England - The Patriots backup ran seven times for 29 yards and caught one catch for nine yards in New England's 28-7 win over the Dolphins in Week 16 and looks to receive additional work in Saturday's Week 17 game at the Meadowlands. 5. Darius Walker – Houston – The No. 3 Texans running back will continue to share snaps with starter Ron Dayne. 6. Lorenzo Booker - Miami - Expect to see the young running back receive more work over the final three games of the season. 7. T.J. Duckett - Detroit - The Lions are officially out of the playoff picture and starter Kevin Jones is out for the final game of the season. Expect Duckett to get a veterans showcase in the final two weeks. 8. Aaron Stecker - New Orleans - Stecker has been a solid fantasy starter over the last two weeks and will receive the bulk of the work in the teams final regular season early Sunday game in Chicago. 9. Aveion Cason - Detroit - A torn knee ligament will keep Lions RB Kevin Jones out of the team's final regular-season game this weekend and offers Cason touches behind T.J. Duckett. 10. Brandon Jackson - Green Bay - The backup to starting tailback Ryan Grant will see work vs. Detroit as the Packers are locked into their NFC No. 2 seed. 11. Maurice Morris - Seattle - Starting RB Shaun Alexander isn't expected to play more than a quarter Sunday.
Wide Receiver 1. Muhsin Muhammad - Chicago - Continues to receive more targets with each passing week. 2. Joe Jurevicius -Cleveland - Continues to be overlooked in most formats. 3. Anthony Gonzalez - Indianapolis - The rookie is in line for better numbers in Week 17. The Colts will likely back off Reggie Wayne in the final game of the regular season. 4. Calvin Johnson - Detroit - Roy Williams is officially on IR. 5. Justin Gage - Tennessee - Over the last month, Gage has become one of Vince Young's favorite targets. 6. Jabar Gaffney - New England - While it is difficult to know which New England receiver will garner the looks on any given Sunday, Gaffney has scored in three of the last five games. 7. Roydell Williams - Tennessee - No receiver on the Titans has been consistent enough this season to roster, but as a Week 17 free agent or salary cap option he has value. 8. Darrell Jackson – San Francisco - Jackson put up his best numbers of the season in Hill's Week 15 start and should see plenty of targets in the teams final regular season contest. 9. Terry Glenn – Dallas - The Cowboys veteran is scheduled to play Sunday, but he's a risk due to his unkown snap count. Backup Sam Hurd is better bet this Sunday. 10. Sam Hurd - Dallas - Saw extended action Week 16 against the Panthers after Terrell Owens left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury. 11. Robert Ferguson - Minnesota - The veteran totaled 50 yards for the third straight game during a Week 16 loss to the Redskins and with rookie Sidney Rice out for the remainder of the season Ferguson becomes the teams primary possession receiver. 12. Ted Ginn Jr - Miami - Recoreded three four-catch games this season, but has only broken then 50-yard barrier twice but has value in Week 17 salary cap leagues as an affordable fantasy option.
Tight End 1. Kevin Boss - New York Giants - Replaces the injured Jeremy Shockey 2. Bo Scaife - Tennessee - Fantasy sleeper in the teams Sunday night must win. 3. Anthony Fassano - Will see most of the work vs Washington in the teams final regular season game.
