Chiefs re-sign WR Chambers to three-year deal
FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday that the club has re-signed unrestricted free agent WR Chris Chambers.
Chambers (5-11, 210) has played in 140 regular season games (120 starts) with Miami (2001-07), San Diego (2007-09) and Kansas City (2009). He owns 518 career receptions for 7,435 yards with 57 TDs and has 44 carries for 373 yards. (Chiefs.com)

Chiefs awarded Chambers off waivers
FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Chiefs were awarded wide receiver Chris Chambers via a waiver claim, the club announced Tuesday.
Chambers had been waived by the San Diego Chargers. He has 482 catches for 6,827 yards and 53 touchdowns in his NFL career.

As the Chargers prepare to play New England in the AFC Championship at 3 p.m. Sunday (Chambers' third playoff game in eight seasons), San Diego is feeling equally fortunate about the way the season finally turned around.
The Chargers, in case you've forgotten, began the season 1-3. They were dubbed the most disappointing team in football, and there was even speculation that first-year coach Norv Turner might be fired during the season.
When Chambers was traded to San Diego, the team was 3-3. And while he shouldn't get all the credit for the turnaround, the Chargers are still giddy about his arrival.
FANTASY INSIGHT:
During their playoff win against the Titans on Jan. 6, Chambers caught six passes for 121 yards. In the divisional round the veteran wide out recorded three receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown. In the team's two postseason contests the ex-Dolphin is averaging over 20 yards per catch.

It's tough to say whether this will help Chambers. He went from a terrible team to a good team, but also moved roles from the big fish in a tiny pond to plankton in a vast ocean. He's the 3rd option at best in San Diego behind LaDanian and Antonio Gates.
