Panthers place Otah on IR list
FANTASY INSIGHT:
The Panthers placed right tackle Jeff Otah on the season-ending injured reserve list, the club announced.
Otah suffered a knee injury during Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. He already had been playing with a shoulder injury. He becomes the 10th Panthers player to be placed on the IR list and joins the teams staring left tackle, Jordan Gross.

FANTASY INSIGHT:
Otah, who has a sprained right ankle, missed his third straight practice on Friday. Fox rarely starts players who have missed all week of practice.
The Panthers likely will be forced to use a makeshift offensive line against the Chiefs. (AP)

This selection makes sense in every way for the Steelers. Otah is not only from nearby Pitt, he will bring immediate depth to an O-line that is now without Alan Faneca. Some rough workouts may see Otah drop this low, which would be a boon for the Steelers. |
