Scoring Methods Defined
Offense
- WCOFF - the fantasy scoring method perhaps best known to fantasy football players.
This is the methodology used at the annual World Championship Of Fantasy Football. The calculation is: pass TD: 4 pts;
run/rec TD: 6 pts; pass yards: 1 point per 20 yards; run/rec yards: 1 point per 10 yards; receptions: 1 point per
reception; two-point conversions: 2 points per conversion (any type). One point is subtracted per interception.
- HAFA/HEAT/TUFF - the fantasy scoring methods associated with the dynasty/keeper
leagues popular at Sports Grumblings. HAFA (Hire And Fire Association), HEAT (Hire, Employ And Terminate) and
TUFF (The Ultimate Fantasy Football) scoring is as follows: pass TD, run/rec TD: 6 pts; pass yards: 1 point per 20 yards;
run/rec yards: 1 point per 10 yards; receptions: 1 point per reception; two-point conversions: 2 points per conversion
(any type). Two points are subtracted per interception.
- Combo Method 1 - this is a performance methodology which takes yardage as well as
scoring into account. The calculation is: pass TD: 4 pts; run/rec TD: 6 pts; pass yards: 1 point per 25 yards;
run/rec yards: 1 point per 10 yards.
- Scoring Only Method - this is a scoring methodology that only considers offensive
scoring. The calculation is: run/rec TD: 6 points; pass TD: 4 points; FG: 3 pts; PAT: 1pt.
- FFRS - this is our own proprietary methodology. In general, it is a reflection of the
overall quality of a player's performance. It incorporates more than 12 individual statistics and tendencies.
- Custom - this is the option to select if you wish to enter your own unique scoring
methodology. You will be prompted to enter different types of data.
Defense
- HAFA/HEAT/TUFF - the fantasy scoring methods associated with the dynasty/keeper
leagues popular at Sports Grumblings. HAFA (Hire And Fire Association), HEAT (Hire, Employ And Terminate) and
TUFF (The Ultimate Fantasy Football) scoring is as follows: All Def TDs: 6 pts; Fumble Recoveries: 4 pts;
Forced Fumbles: 3 pts; Interceptions: 4 pts; Passes Defensed: 1 pts; Tackles: 2 pts; Assists: 1 pts;
Sacks: 4 pts; Safeties: 8 pts
- Fantasy Points Method - a straight IDP (Individual Defensive Player) method defined
as: solo tackle: 1; assists: 1/2 point; sack: 2 pts; interception: 4 pts; any TD: 6 pts.
- FFRS - this is our own proprietary methodology. In general, it is a reflection of the
overall quality of a player's performance. It incorporates more than eight individual statistics and tendencies.
- Custom - this is the option to select if you wish to enter your own unique scoring
methodology. You will be prompted to enter different types of data.
