The Jaguars could use some depth along the
defensive line and at linebacker. The safety position is a concern,
especially with the injuries Donovan Darius has suffered. Florida’s
Reggie Nelson is available, but Jacksonville
decides to draft a defensive end. The selection is one of Nelson's teammates,
defensive end Jarvis Moss.

It’s nice to score points, but you can’t win
if you allow more than you score. That’s the trouble with the Bengals and a
trend that’s continued these past few seasons. Last year, the Bengals drafted
Johnathan Joseph in the first round, and this year they get another young
corner in Arkansas’
Chris Houston.

One of the most surprising teams of 2006, the
Titans have a bright future with Vince Young at the
helm. Adding weapons around Young is a must and what better way to do that
than adding a player with whom you’re familiar. Tennessee Vols receiver Robert Meachem had a breakout year
this past season, with over 1,300 yards receiving. The Titans are hoping they
found a player to match with Young.

The Giants decided to cut ties with former
first round pick Luke Petitgout, and that leaves a hole on the offensive
line. Protecting Eli Manning is a priority for the Giants and adding a big,
physical tackle is a must. Penn State’s Levi Brown is the answer for New York.

The Broncos are thrilled to see Florida’s Reggie
Nelson on the board. With John Lynch getting older and the death of Darrent
Williams forcing Domonique Foxworth back to corner, developing and adding
another safety is a must. Nelson is the choice.

The Cowboys have many concerns: their
offensive line, wide receiver, and secondary. There are some nice players
available to the Cowboys. USC’s Dwayne Jarrett is attractive, but the need
for an impact safety like Texas’
Michael Griffin is an immediate need. Griffin is a
Cowboy.

I was disappointed that Dwayne Jarrett didn’t
work out at the combine, and there is speculation he is worried about his
40-time. The reason I have Jarrett falling to the Chiefs is because of his
unwillingness to show NFL personnel what he can do. If Jarrett has an
impressive pro-day in March, his stock will escalate, but if he doesn’t, he
will land in Kansas City.

The Patriots will look to upgrade at the
linebacker position. Tedi Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Larry Izzo, and Rosevelt
Colvin are getting older, and a youth movement at the position is necessary.
Drafting Miami’s
Jon Beason adds speed and
toughness to Belichick’s defense.
