The Cardinals luck out and have the best
offensive lineman fall to them, and it just happens to be the player they
coveted the most – offensive tackle Joe Thomas. Thomas gives Arizona
an upgrade from Leonard Davis and a player with a high ceiling. I am sure
Matt Leinart is smiling over this selection.

There are many areas the Redskins could
address with this selection. Arkansas’
Jamaal Anderson could give the Redskins a potentially dominant pass rusher,
Alan Branch or Amobi Okoye are nice tackles up front, but adding a leader
like LaRon Landry is exactly what the Redskins need on defense. Landry
and Sean Taylor give the ‘Skins the best safety tandem in the league.

The Vikings need to add a wide receiver and
help in the secondary. Drafting Ted Ginn Jr. at this position is a reach, but
selecting Michigan’s
Leon Hall is a possibility. But with Oklahoma’s
star running back Adrian Peterson
available, Minnesota
will take the former Sooner.

The Falcons were trying to move up to select
Calvin Johnson, but the cost was too high. Failing to draft Johnson will
allow the Falcons to turn their attention to defense. Head coach Bobby
Petrino is familiar with his former player, Louisville’s Amobi Okoye, and that
familiarity leads to the selection of Okoye.
