 | Urlacher, Brian (Back) - LB - Chi 2008-02-08 10:20:29 Chicago Bears veteran linebacker Brian Urlacher has reportedly undergone neck surgery according to the Miami Herald.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Urlacher had the operation to correct a problem first detected during a postseason physical, though the exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed.
A source told the Tribune the procedure was performed on Urlacher's lower neck region and focused on the cervical curve of the spine.
INSIGHT: Urlacher, who will turn 30 in May, just completed his eighth NFL campaign. He has spent his entire career with the Bears and has played in 121 contests. Hobbs will undergo surgery this week for a sports hernia and groin injury suffered earlier in the season, FOXSports.com has learned. INSIGHT: Hobbs continued to play despite the ailments, starting all but one of New England's 19 games. But Hobbs aggravated the groin injury during the first quarter of Sunday's 17-14 Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants. |
